Happy Birthday to Krista & Kailey

On the 18th of December, we were travelling in the car. So we stopped at Taco Time for Krista & Kailey's Birthday's. Taco Time is one of Krista's favorite places to eat. Crispy meat and crispy bean - yum! Kailey got a pair of "Chucks" - orange as she asked. Krista got a pair of nice Oakley sunglasses.

Thanksgiving Dinner

For our Thanksgiving dinner, we decided to skip all the leftovers and cooking and cleaning so we went to Old Country Buffet. It was busy and mostly tasty. They ran out of turkey so the started cooking up steaks.

Snow Days

Wow! We had a whopping 23 inches of snow this past week.  That is me out with a tape measure to check it. The children were out of school from Wednesday to Friday.  They did fun things like sledding and hanging with Friends and playing video games. I took some time off work too due to the roads being pretty bad.  I would go in late and leave early to avoid traffic mess. Krista was able to spend even more time with the children and do some scrapbooking.

Education Week

Krista & Kailey recently went to Education week with friends Stacey and Julia. They took a day off and went to Temple Square and visited the Lions House. They had a great time and all came home happy. That's always a plus to come home happy.

Saturday General Conference Break

During the lunch break of Saturday General Conferences, we drove up into the mountains and took a little walk at Lair 'O the Bear Park. It wasn't a long walk nor a strenuous walk but just to get outside and take a break. We do this as a tradition from my side of the family when Grandpa DeGraw (Rick) would do the same when I was a youth. We also do it because the kids are needing to get rid of some energy. Kailey had a sleep-over last night so she wasn't with us.

Harry Potter Movie Night

This is an old picture but one that I wanted to share.  We went to the Midnight showing of Harry Potter.  It was fun but the next day - ugh!  We stood in line for about 3 hours and it was fun watching all the people.  There was a few who had dressed up.  Two guys had a whole skit they did.  One was dressed up as Gandalf the Grey and the other as Harry Potter.  They got a round of applause after their skit.  We watched it and got home around 3:00 a.m.  I got up and went to work around 11:00 a.m. and just dragged.  At the time I vowed to never again go to a midnight showing...we'll see.

DeGraw Family Reunion

We recently (months ago) had a family reunion.  Here is a picture of some of us.  We went to Salt Lake City and ate picnics at parks and lots and lots of Skippers (not shown due to graphic nature).  We also saw the Temple Square thing and the new Joseph Smith film.

Kaleb Sings

Kaleb was invited by his choir teacher to participate in a summer choir a few weeks back.  He went up for three days and learned about 5 songs.  He didn't like the chorister too much but seemed to enjoy it overall.
